Everyone strives to do more and to be more. But most people fail. They want to simultaneously be comfortable and be great. They don’t want struggle, they don’t want hardship.
They will never succeed.
If you are here, then you’ve taken a step in the right direction.
It won’t be easy. It wont be fun. You’ll lose friends, offend people and spend your nights wondering if it’s all worth it.
I am asking you to welcome this. To understand that this is simply part of the process. I am asking you to embrace instability.
Why? Because only by embracing the uncertainty of life will you ever excel. If you wait for everything to be perfect, you not only will not succeed, you won’t even start. Ducks never line up in a row, so you may as well take a shot. A species does not excel in nature due to being stronger, faster, smarter or more cunning. The deciding factor in a species success is in its ability to adapt.
We as humans have gotten very good at adaptation. Our hands allow us to manipulate the world around us unlike any other species. Our brains allow us to think beyond the present. Our communication and language abilities allow us to build upon the past, to carry thousands of years’ worth of knowledge in one person. Millions of people have lived, learned, created and died so you could be sitting here today, reading this article. The computer you’re on, the chair you’re sitting in, the roof over your head is based off of the work of countless humans who selflessly created for the betterment of mankind.
You would be doing them a great disservice if you were to do anything other than try and improve upon what they have done. So what are you going to do with your life? Do you want to be remembered? Do you want to create? Do you want to build? Or do you want to spend your life as a forgotten couch potato? A nameless consumer? A faceless John Doe walking in the crowd? Do you want to be more? If you want to change the world, first you must change yourself. Embrace Instability is here to help facilitate that change. In order to be successful here you must do two things.
- Become a student of life
- Apply what you have learned without mercy
Welcome to your new life, welcome to greatness.
